Introductions!

Hello Everyone,

Since I have so many new subscribers I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jody and I live in Farmington, MN. I have two older boys (Jory and Jaden) and two dogs (Izzy and Emmy). I am an avid quilter and have a quilt pattern writing business. I really love doing anything that taps into the creative side of my brain. I recently bought the business from my dear friend Mary. The OG cake pan lady. I have had the pleasure of watching her build this business from the start 20 years ago and I am happy to keep that legacy going. Thank you for joining me on this ride. I am so happy you are here. Enough about me let's talk about the new designs added since the last time we chatted.

NEW DESIGNS!

I am having so much fun thinking of new designs to add to the design library. With Father's Day coming some of these are great for Dad. I would love to hear your design ideas. You can email them to me at thecakepanlady@gmail.com. Here are all the new designs since my last post. Stay tuned I have some more ideas coming this week.

We are heading into wedding season and our pans are the most popular item to give a Bride and Groom. It's guaranteed to be a hit. Here are some popular designs. You don't have to stick with the typical wedding design. Think about who you are buying for and what they love and go from there. I will do some customization so reach out if you don't see something you like.

Did you know we engrave on the bottom of the pan? This is we're you can get creative and add a little note or just their first name, first and last or a nickname. As long as it fits in the character box on the website you can have it.

I am going to start including a recipe or ideas you can use your cake pan with in each blog. This week I am including one of my favorite recipes: Pumpkin bars. This recipe is perfect for using with your pan.

Pumpkin Bars

Ingredients:

4 eggs 2 cups of sugar

1 cup of oil 15 oz can of Pumpkin

2 cups of flour 1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp of cinnamon 1/2 tsp ginger

1/2 tsp of cloves 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Mix all dry ingredients and set aside. Mix eggs, sugar, oil and pumpkin in large bowl.

Add dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased cake pan lady pan and bake for 25-30 min at 350. Check with a toothpick to see if its done. If not put back in for another 5 min. Wait to cool before frosting.

Frosting:

6 oz pkg cream cheese 1/4 stick of butter (6 tbsp)

1 tbsp milk 1 tsp of vanilla

4 cups of powered sugar

Beat together cream cheese, butter, milk and vanilla. Add powered sugar and beat until smooth. Spread on bars and cut into 2" to 3" squares. These can be put in the freezer.
